The Weekender 50 Lt Twin is a great concept offering a 40Lt Fridge with a seperate 10Lt Freezer and a simple single digital temperature control and all in a light and compact unit.
The freezer section has a clear acrylic cover under the main lid and full wall wrap around cooling plates around the freezer bin which are cleverly engineered to ensure the freezer runs around 10-12oC colder than whatever the 40Lt fridge section is set to.

Note: Due to the single control design of the 50 Twin, during times when the ambient temperature surrounding the Weekender 50 Twin is below the thermostat setting, the compressor will not be required to run. Under this condition, the freezer compartment will not get any cooling. This condition may occur during winter months and when the thermostat is not set to a lower temperature than ambient. If you require the freezer at these times - then set the thermostat to a colder temperature than the ambient (outside temp)

Unlike some other brand combo units - National Luna have full height and full wrap around cooling plates to each compartment. Eg: It doesn't rely on internal fans or removable panels to maintain proper performance.
The LH bin is 25Lt and features 60mm thick wall insulation for excellent Freezer performance. The RH Bin uses 42mm wall insulation to give an amazing 35Lt of Fridge space. However the dual thermostats mean that both bins could be used as a Fridge depending on your needs.
